Ostinaut — Terms of Service

Draft pending final legal review. These terms are between you and Ithilmere (“we”, “us”).
1. The service
Ostinaut is a music-practice tool that helps you train chord and changes-navigation skills. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and don’t impersonate others. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Danger zone.
3. Acceptable use
- Don’t break, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Don’t use Ostinaut for anything unlawful or to infringe others’ rights.
- Any content you import (e.g. a MIDI file) remains yours; you’re responsible for having the rights to use it.
4. Purchases
Ostinaut is a one-time purchase: $14.99 (or your local equivalent, as shown at checkout) unlocks the full app on your account, forever — no subscription, no recurring charges. On the web, payment is processed by RevenueCat and its payment partner Stripe; on a mobile app store, by the relevant store.
7-day money-back guarantee. Ask within 7 days of purchase — from the app or by emailing support@ostinaut.com — and we refund in full, no questions asked. After 7 days, refunds follow the policy of the store you bought through.
5. Intellectual property
Ostinaut, its name, design, and the LED-device interface are ours. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own practice. Music theory itself is in the public domain; nothing here claims ownership of it.
6. No warranty
Ostinaut is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It’s a practice aid, not a guarantee of any musical outcome.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using Ostinaut at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms.
